K, so it has been a while since i blogged.  lots to catch up on actually.  first off, david formally proposed to me....and i said yes!  it was endearing and sweet and i could not be any happier!  it will still be a while before with a proceed with ceremony, but that is happening, and if you are actually reading this...YOU ARE INVITED!  

K, so today i could not get this song out of my head.  i've had it for a while now, but is severely stuck in my head.  it's off the new buzzin' fly compilation, and it's a remix by radio slave, who i absolutely love.  this song is dark and deep, yet adventurous. there is some irony there.  it is simply, yet catchy.  the track is called Dead Souls.

memorial day weekend debauchery!

i cannot EVEN begin to tell you how i excited i am!  this weekend, dave and i are travelling to houston this wknd. to see Sebastian Döring, who is the person who makes up Lovebirds.  Sebastian is part of Knee Deep, and forceful House duo that penetrated House and made it their own.  Knee Deep has worked with soooo many different artists, remixing their stuff, plus doing their own thing.  i'm absolutely loving the Lovebirds thing, though.  it is SUCH a completely different sound.  Once again, Sebastien is reshaping House and making it into the deep, techy, disco vibe.  i'll just tell you straight off the bat that Marc Evans'"You've Given Me Joy"(Lovebirds Suite) & Cathy Battistessa's"All About Love"(Lovebirds Suite) are my absolute most favourite mixes by this guy!  Coincidently, the latter track was released on Knee Deep Recordings.  Since those releases, Lovebirds traks are coming out on further right labels, like Freerange, OM, and Lazy Days records, all labels that i dig and show my love to. 

soooooo....to have this guy in TX is going to be quite the experience for me!  i'm looking forward to going to FWD too.  it is a new club that i'm hoping is going to really let me have it!  i will be workin' it on the dancefloor!  so.....find me under the disco ball....

i am kind of flipping out how invasive Facebook is getting, so much to the point that i really want to delete my acct.  i do not want my personal information strewn all over the internet without my consent.  i also don't want to have to go to privacy settings daily to see what changes they've made that i have to deal with.  its getting ridiculous.  i'm ready for the next big thing to occur that tweeks facebook out of the league. 

it is hard though cuz EVERYONE has an acct. & it is such an easy way to keep up with people. 

i just don't understand what has gotten into those power-hungry bitches!

this track is BURNIN' HOT!

you know, i have been a fan of peven everett since gabriel came out in '97.  stylistically he has really came into his own.  he's got that great RnB voice, but keeps it real on the House tip.  his vocal is lush, and drips with romance.  and even though his lyrics are about chicks, it still makes me wanna shake my hips in THE most seductive way.  another great track that he put out, stuck, is worth peeping out too! 

this new track, BURNING HOT, is simplistic disco heat, especially this mix by the legendary timmy regisford.  he is "dread man, spinnin' strong all nite long" @ shelter in NYC.  timmy is super serious about his craft, and in person, is very understated.  he hates to have his picture taken!  =P
